This is a hard question to ask, I think. Please just try to put me on the right track, at the very least.

Let's assume that I have a closed curve, with x number of edges. I'm able to find the internal area of said curve. What I really want to do, is find the minimum bounding box of the curve. In other words, take a really complex shape, and return the minimum number of edges that completely encapsulate the shape.

Not really sure where to start with this one...
