could anyone please advise as to what a lag-based correlation is? Is this the same as a cross-lagged analysis?

This type of analysis was recommended to me by a reviewer to elucidate the directionality of a number of associations that I report in a paper.

Unfortunately, I have not found many resources online regarding this type of analysis and would greatly appreciate any insight you might have on this.
