I have data in the below format

enter image description here

How would you calculate average visits per person?

Is it:

A. (total visits)/(total people) -> 3.33

Or

B. Average(visit number) -> 2.4

  • $\begingroup$ Why would you add the visit numbers? that will not tell you how many visits there were. What significance would the third of fourth visit have that it'd weigh heavier than the first or second? 1 is correct and says on average each person did 3.3 visits. 2 says the average visit number is 2.4 but what does that signify? So far as I can tell absolutely nothing relevant. $\endgroup$ – fleablood Mar 14 at 23:20
