In an area of ${100m^2}$ 19 sensor nodes are uniformly and randomly distributed. Root node is located at the center of this area. Each node has a transmission range of 40 meters in all directions. All nodes transmit data to Root node in one hop or multi-hop if they are far from the Root. The sensors can become neighbours if they can reach each other. If any sensor is selected at random what is the expected number of neighbours it can have ? An Example Topology
