I have a 3 dimensional array of real data corresponding to measurements in physical 3D space, and its corresponding data in spectral space.
I want to scale certain specific frequencies in the spectral space. As in, I want to pick certain frequencies and scale it by a factor.
How does this scaling transform into the real space? How do I know which real space entities should be scaled to obtain the necessary scaling I need in the spectral space?
And, when I identify the real data points to be scaled, how much do I scale the real data by so that the spectral data is scaled exactly by the factor I decide. Is the scaling factor in spectral space and real space the same?
I have been trying to find some textbook / resources that I can read to understand this. Any help would be appreciated.
