I'm trying to show that the Laplace-approximation of the Gaussian-distribution ends up with a L-1 norm. I've been looking around but have a hard time finding material that shows this, is there anyone who can point me in the right direction? I'm currently working with Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning by Bishop.
