I was going through this excellent article on GANs and WGANs Here

While going throught the Discriminator Network's mathematical semantics, I came across this symbol : $$E_{x \tilde {p_{r(x)}} } [\log D(x)]$$

In easier terms, it was something like this : Ex∼pr(x)[ log (D(x))]

I searched a little in statistics domain and came across the term " has the distribution of.. " associated with such an expression. Could someone kindly help me out here? thanks!
