I have the following homework (AI-related): Which boolean function does the following TLU (threshold logic unit) implement? The TLU (threshold logic unit) has five inputs. Its weight vector is (1.1, 3.1, -1, -2, 0.5), and threshold is 1.
So in other words:
- There are 5 "inputs" that can be either 1 or 0.
- Inputs are multiplied by corresponding "weights" (i.e. input number 1 is multiplied by 1.1 etc.)
- after multiplications, results are summed up and that sum needs to be more than 1.
So for example, one function to implement this would be when inputs 1 and 2 are true and inputs 3, 4 and 5 are 0.
I know how to create a truth table and look up the entire set of boolean functions but is there another, more "intelligent" way of finding the function than "brute force" manner I'm using?
