Yes i have taken this question from the site,the problem is i am not satisfied wiith the logic,thats why i wanted a different approach to tackle this question,i also pasted the solution given there but still logic is vauge.the point is i am in search of simple and clear solution.i dont think i am wrong.

Reasoning->b=a+c b ranges from 3 to 2008 x1+x2=n has n-1C1 solns.Using th elogic we get 2+3+..2007 solutions. A total of 2015027 solutions.here,condition 1 comes into picture telling us that a,b,c are distinct.Therefore the even values of b ie.4,6,8,..2008 will have one solution less ie.from the given solution subtract 1003 thus giving us 20104024.

as c=b-a when c=1 we will have 2007 pairs((2,1),(3,2)….) when c=2 we will have 2005 pairs when c-3 we will have 2004 pairs… . . . when c=2007 no. of pair is 1.

@Hans ya ya..in this way in any way we will get 25*5=125

@Hans If the box is resting on a side that is 60 cm by 30 cm, then 60/12 , 30/6 × = 5 × 5 = 25 blocks will fi t on the bottom layer. In this case, the height of the box is 20 cm and 20/4 = 5 layers will fi t inside the box.

(4,0,0)->3 ways (3,1,0)-> 18 ways (2,2,0)-> 12 ways (2,1,1)-> 21 ways , so totel is 3+18+12+21=54.....What do you think....is this right logic...if coins are(A,A,B,C)

@Theo Buehler....Ha Ha Actuly i am solving question based on Permutation and combination...but i felt difficulty in some of the question thats why i that its worthy to discuss with other Brilliant people around the world.....I know the community rules about the standerd of question.......If i am wrong in any way please let me know...i am very happy to be with the stackexchange...i wlike to listen if any concern....
