comment Formula for number of “root” nodes in a tree where Parent shares child nodes?
out of curiousity how did you arrive at the second equation, from the first?

comment Using matrices to calculate fibonacci?
So you are saying to calculate f(7) I need to multiply the {(1,1),(1,0)} matrice by itself 7 times and then multiply the result with (1,0)? Sorry its been a while since I used matrices.

comment Probability of more than 50 heads from 90 coin tosses?
Thank you for replying. Could I just ask one last Q- what about if the question was finding a) N successive heads from M tosses and b) at least N successive heads from M tosses?

Thanks! I presume if the question expanded to say we had 9 coins which were thrown at the same time (so we threw 9 coins 10 times) would this change the answer? My guess is that it wouldnt be "a coin" is still being thrown 90 times....

comment Probability of 1x six from seven dice?
What I don't get is, the probability of getting at least one six across all the dice is independent per dice- so why is it not 1/6 + 1/6.... etc (besides the fact that sum is greater than 1)

comment What is this notation relating to the Jacobian matrix operation?
Its not the J(βn) I am confused about, its the part following after that: the d/dB of Log L - is this just notation, indicating what is contained within the Jacobian matrix elements?
