I'm a programmer, experienced with C, C++ (especially C++11), Python, Bash, z80 assembly, LaTeX, and a handful of others. I run Arch Linux and CyanogenMod, avoiding Windows whenever possible.

You can find some of my work on GitHub.

Suppose my program (for it is a program I'm writing ;) has its own notion of "canonical form." Is it possible once I have both $A$ and $B$ in canonical form?

@Tharsis But can I then decide whether $e - \pi \ge 0$?

@alancalvitti, algebraic... The type you'd do in high school.

Could you elaborate? I neglected to mention that the CAS can already do differentiation. Why is integration needed to solve equations?

The CAS can already do basic factorization; for example, 5x-10x**2 is reduced to 5*x*(1-2*x). But what is the general approach for solving even simple equations?
