Bear in mind, If you happen to flip 1000 times and then it occurs to you that it may be unfair, it's not exactly fair to use that data in your test

comment Do mathematicians, in the end, always agree?
Do we count statisticians as mathematicians? We probably shouldn't here. I've seen the statement "The random variable X is assumed to have a Gaussian distribution" (because choosing tests involves judgement) almost come to blows.

comment How much gas does a car use to carry its own gas?
It would interesting to know which effect is bigger for the full-tankers. The prices of carrying fuel around vs the saving from early speculation of that 50l of fuel (given that fuel prices are constantly rising, ie buying 50l now at today's price is cheaper than buying 5 now and the other 45 later ).
