@DavidZ I imagine even a physics course would need to use 'j' when dealing with electrical networks having reactive components, since 'i' could be confused with the conventional notation for current. I am curious how you deal with that.

You cannot mix and match Discrete Probability Distribution with Continuous Probability Distribution. Let me ask you these two questions: 1. What is the probability that a randomly chosen number between 0 and 1 is exactly 0.278? 2. What is the probability that a randomly chosen number between 0 and 1 lies in the range 0.45 to 0.60?

What if you replace 2016 with 2216? It is highly unlikely that Gold medal winners of the 2216 Olympics (assuming we do have one) are alive today (although, who knows!). Does that change the answer in any way?

Uhm, couldn't we just add an $ S \rightarrow \epsilon $ rule? Sorry for this basic question, I am new to this and basically self-learning without any expert guidance.
