@Hurkyl I think so. If it wouldn't be simple it would contain an nontrivial ideal, but then $R$ also has a nontrivial ideal.

I think I can, but I wonder if I could simplify this as : $\dfrac{x-5}{3}> \dfrac{x-2}{7}$
