Well, basically, after creating the truth table, you just have to create a Karnaugh map. You will then have a simplified logical function from it, and try to re-write it using only NANDs by applying logical rules.

The methods we can use are Lagrange, simple, Newton, and cubic spline interpolation. But it is not stated that they are the only ones, it's just that the code for others is not provided (this is why I asked to help me get a very detailed description of other algorithms so that I can write them in Maple).
