comment Alternative to using greater than operator for comparing numbers on a number line
I was of the opinion, whenever you put ">" between a and b, like a > b. It only means a "is greater than" b, in quantity. Why it's named as "greater than" operator otherwise ?

Well, i think, my question was misunderstood. My question was particularly on the confusion posed by ">" greater-than symbol. All the answers assume that there is no confusion. And saying one thing is different from another is same as saying one thing is greater than another.

comment A vector should more be thought an identity of an entity in space rathar than magnitude + direction?
what vector spaces don't use direction to specify itself ?

comment What is the mathematical term that can differentiate two same vectors?
@Amire : I think, how it is defined there, it's possible to draw more than one "position vectors" on a graph paper. Because starting point is not fixed. So, it cannot me uniquely identified.

@zuggg : But line segments are only and only "magnitudes" . They are not even having specific directions.

@Amire : It's not mandatory for a vector to start from origin.

If i ask one to draw a vector of magnitude 5 with 30 degree angle... you can make infinite number of such vectors on a graph paper. I answered my own question here : math.stackexchange.com/questions/441807/…

comment What's the definition of a random number?
Well, i was browsing through wikipedia, and seen various studies over random number generation. So, just curious, what is so difficult about random numbers. As in real life, it's just a matter of speaking out a number from mouth!

comment Is there any good reason why a protractor starts from right to left, unlike a scale, which starts from left to right?
Btw, to add up, i got an another answer from a source, that when you keep a "protractor" on the "0" of a coordinate system, it's more intuitive to start "angles" from the right side ( being +1 on the right), than anywhere else. One of the reasons probably.

hmm.. ok, i will try to experiment this logic with n(n+2).. and so on. Thnx!

comment Explanation over this simple equation, which involves multiplication of two square-roots
hmm.. i actually was looking for some sort of logic behind relationship ( of 0.4 ) between square root of consecutive numbers. What's so special about the digit "4" in this relationship. But thanks for the derivation!

yep.. Btw, in case of 2 digits, i noticed, it can be truncated to 2 decimal places.. and so on for higher digits. See 99 below
