Advice for young girls who think of mathematics as an unnecessary thing? Our learning curve in mathematics looks like a spiral. If they have no motivation at the beginning, it is harder for the future. I found some collage students cannot do fractional computation. That is really a big problem to go further. :-) |

Advice for young girls who think of mathematics as an unnecessary thing? @J.M., I haven't read it. In my case it is gender-dependent. They are reluctant to take engineering class in which most boys are interested. |

Advice for young girls who think of mathematics as an unnecessary thing? @Jonas, some of the girls are enthusiastic about all other school subjects. Even some of them get high rank in the class (better than boys). |

Advice for young girls who think of mathematics as an unnecessary thing? @Jonas, I also don't know where this topic should be. But I believe I should ask this question from the mathematicians directly. Asking to people having no mathematics knowledge might not be helpful. Therefore, this site is more appropriate I think. |
