Is it right to have negative rates? @Avatar Sorry, my mistake. I intended to direct my ratio comment to Omega not to you. |

Solve $\int \cos^{2n}\theta d\theta$ Your answer is correct. What makes you think it is wrong? |

What's the probability that the other side of the coin is gold? @Deedlit. You are right, the analysis would not work in that case. I did mention in an earlier comment that I'm using the symmetry between silver and gold. Removing the double sided silver coin breaks that symmetry. |

What's the probability that the other side of the coin is gold? He says he randomly grabs a coin and sees that the side facing him is X and asks for the probability of the other side being X. Given the symmetry between silver and gold, it is irrelevant what X is. He happened to pick gold. I think my simple analysis is correct, not just the answer. |

Integration with using Gauss law Two questions: 1) Why do you assume E is constant on the surface of the sphere? 2) Why are you integrating to the surface of the sphere when it is E at the center that you seek? |

Is thickness supposed to affect a box's dimensions? Is it possible that the problem is poorly worded and the "thickness" was intended to refer to one of the other two dimensions of the box ( besides height)? |
