I'm also studying for an MSc at Manchester University. So far, I've studied XML and Semi Structured data, Machine Learning and Design Patterns. Looking forward to hopefully studying ontologies, artificial intelligence and high performance computing. I'm blogging about the experience and other bits and pieces on my blog.
