On comparing fractions , fraction with smaller difference between numerator and denominator is greater than the other "T.I.M.E" considered to be Top most institute for CAT coaching having produced many IIM entries . It's the material created by this institute . Even that video I have posted here is done by the person in this link " elceducation.com/founder.php " .He also seems to have a good reputation . |

On comparing fractions , fraction with smaller difference between numerator and denominator is greater than the other Hey thank you very much for the example with a proof which challenges what the book stated . Thanks . |

On comparing fractions , fraction with smaller difference between numerator and denominator is greater than the other So being an integer will it satisfy this rule ? . Is this rule a standard accepted rule ?.Also ,we can make it an integer by multiplying by power of 10 |

Area fractal pentagrams I The petal's golden ration i believe cannot affect the GP because for example consider wolframalpha.com/input/?i=Koch+snowflake&lk=3 here the what ever be the initial iteration 0 diagram which here is equilateral triangle , the iteration rule is a equilateral triangle from each side of the the base triangle. The iteration rule cannot change with the base . But in case of a pythagorus tree the different lengths come into play . |

Area fractal pentagrams I The area of the pentagram with unit point-to-point edge length is given by mathworld.wolfram.com/Pentagram.html so its defined right ? |

Area fractal pentagrams I So according to your point, Area = Area of pentagram(which has a formula) + 10×((√3)/4)a^2×[1/7] . Is it ok now ? |

Area fractal pentagrams I As no specifications were given I took it to be equilateral . but the idea is the same .In this fractal the idea is that basically there is a pentagon and from each of the 5 sides a triangle starts and thereafter the GP starts in that each triangle gives rise to two other |
