comment Why is $\frac{1}{\frac{1}{0}}$ undefined?
The similarity is a good example of another fistrule not always working!

comment How does my $10\times10$ abacus work?
Amzoti: thanks for putting it into google and posting the link. Alas, the abacus depicted in your story is a 4+1, this is a 10x10. Unless you care to post an answer explaining the similarities and differences, that does not help me much.

comment How does my $10\times10$ abacus work?
I tried tagging it "abacus" but couldn't (yet). I tagged it "counting", which aliased to Combinatorics ;]

Half a year after asking, I discovered a website trying to get people to gamble promising unlimited wins, using this method: 100dollars-in-1hour.com :/

comment Why did my friend lose all his money?
Gareth: sorry about that. Imho, MUD is to WOW as book is to movie. I just wanted to make the question as interesting as possible to a wide array of (future) readers.

I guess his mudclient would send the command "bet 128 gold", the mud would reply "You don't even have that amount!" and the script would not be setup to answer that, ending the script. It was just a basic "trigger" system, reacting on the text it got from the mud.
