Solid of revolution about a slanted line How could u = x and u = x + dx at the same time? |

Is there actually a difference when we say 'perpendicular' vs 'tangent' Sorry but what do you mean when you say "two lines in Euclidean space are tangent if they are the same line"? Those are parallel lines yes? Lines are tangent lines to themselves? |

Has anyone held an NSERC award before as an undergraduate recently? Professors on average say get 10 emails on research. If five of the emails are structured in a "spam" template. Then the professor isn't going to read all of them or even care because he/she knows that the writer doesn't really care about his/her research. I hope that clarifies more. |

Has anyone held an NSERC award before as an undergraduate recently? @Mariano. I thought that because profs get so many of the standard emails on research that if they are just mass sent, then they won't read it because they know the student isn't interested in it. |

Has anyone held an NSERC award before as an undergraduate recently? Some of these deadlines are coming up soon. I need to act quickly. How must I be able to introduce myself? I am reading your blog right now and wish I had raed about it earlier. It's useful to drop into the office, but what to do if they aren't in your university? |

Has anyone held an NSERC award before as an undergraduate recently? My transcripts for 2nd year won't be ready in a while, should I just send my 1st year transcripts to Form 202 I? I don't have a lot of Math classes in my first year transcripts. |

Has anyone held an NSERC award before as an undergraduate recently? Oh sorry, I meant that i have no chance because I am a second year student. 3rd/4th years are favored everyone else, or so I heard. |

Inequality; when we switch signs? From basic to complicated Actually what happens if we have f(a) < g(b)? What if I apply h(x) to it? That is does the idea still hold if I do H(f(a)) < H(g(b))? |

Inequality; when we switch signs? From basic to complicated Woah! that's really helpful! I learned the definition of "strictly increasing/increasing" etc from sequences so I am familiar with them now! |

What are the properties of a prime number? @Daniel, that answer my question. I am indeed looking for a "general" form. Almost like a formula with what I have. |
