Makes sense to my feeble mind...So if I wanted to find a point between (x1, y1, z1) and (x2, y2, z2) I would use a value for u lesser than 1, it seems. This is the application I will be using this for, and since I already know the proportion of the distance of the point I'm seeking to the full length of the line segment as defined by the two points I know, this will work like a charm. Thanks again to you all.
