+1 Their A Classical Introduction to Modern Number Theory is an excellent treatise on number theory that covers a lot of material in an intuitive and friendly, yet rigorous, presentation. The only bad thing is that you cannot skip around.

@muad: The inner radius is non-zero, but if it were, then Δx—the length that I seek—would be equal to the given value Δg. I cannot assign a value to the inner radius, Δg, or φ because these are all given quantities.
