Link rot is evil. Archive everything. The keyboard is king. Correctness over performance. Canonicalize, normalize, deduplicate. Don't repeat yourself. UTF-8 > UTF-16. Use static typing: good for tooling. Re-use; don't re-invent. Correctness, then clarity, then concision and elegance. Play devil's advocate. First understand opponents' positions.

comment Visually deceptive “proofs” which are mathematically wrong
On my screen it looks obvious that GH as drawn is not perpendicular to AE. Maybe if you rotate the entire diagram counterclockwise by ~1 degree, so that AD and AE are both slightly angled, it would obscure this and make it more convincing.

@wim Yes. That's the ISO 31-11 standard (lb for base 2, ln for $e$, lg for 10).

Related question: Is it possible or useful to define a uniform distribution on the integers or the real line, by permitting infinitesimal probabilities/probability densities?

@shaikh: Yes. For example, the center of mass of a line segment lies on its boundary.

comment “L'Hôpital's rule” vs. “L'Hospital's rule”?
Any reason the 1716 book spells "Leibniz" as "Leibnis"? And the 1768 one spells it "Leibnitz"!

comment Alternative notation for exponents, logs and roots?
I like this, because it's pretty much standard math notation.
