comment Hot dog combinatorics
After the vendor gives him the hotdog the Dalai Lama hands the vendor a $20 bill. The vendor takes the 20 and does nothing. After a few minutes the Dalai Lama asks "Where's my change". The vendor replies "Ah, change comes from within". (rimshot, ducks)

comment Are there contradictions in math?
I'm not a mathematician but can't help notice your "derivation" for the value of G(2) = 1+2+4+8... = -1 describes the binary representation of -1 in an infinite-bit-length fixed point twos-complement binary number (all one bits). Coincidence? Or is there something deeper going on?

comment “Casual” mathematical facts with practical consequences
They're not, as indicated by the fact that the angles are close but not exactly congruent. They just look that way. If you were to cut them out they wouldn't fit together as drawn.

What's the puzzle, other than false visual similarity? Slope 3/8 in the left image does not match 5/13 in the right image. Close, but not the same.
