Nov6 awarded Notable Question Feb15 awarded Popular Question Apr23 awarded Autobiographer Feb14 comment How do you find all hexes within an arbitrary arc? Thank you for your help. I was thinking there was some equation that would accomplish the same effect. Most problems could be solved programmatically with elementary math, but they are usually inefficient. I probably should move the question over to game.stack and work on a clarified and more specific question. Feb14 accepted How do you find all hexes within an arbitrary arc? I fix the image now. What I mean by entirely is that all 6 vertices (the entire area of the hex) must fall within the confines of the arc. Feb13 comment How do you find all hexes within an arbitrary arc? I edited my question. I hope it is clarified. Feb13 revised How do you find all hexes within an arbitrary arc? Added image of exactly what I mean. Feb11 awarded Student Feb11 accepted How do I find X of this equation? Feb11 asked How do you find all hexes within an arbitrary arc? I just was getting frustrated at not being able to figure this out. Why am I not able to go backwards? If I know every outcome going forward why can't I backtrack? Oct18 comment How do I find X of this equation? Hmmm I see. What do you mean 'find a solution numerically'? Oct17 asked How do I find X of this equation? Oct17 comment How to remove the numerator to find a variable? @Andre Nicolas - Do I have to do that to all other variables in the equation? for instance if that equation was instead 60 = 40 / X + x^2 + X it would come out to be 60X = 40 + X^3 + x^2?
