Dec8 comment Binary function that is distributive, associative, commutative @ArturoMagidin, fixed, thanks. No need, but it would be interesting Dec8 revised Binary function that is distributive, associative, commutative deleted 12 characters in body Dec8 comment Binary function that is distributive, associative, commutative Pardon my ignorance, but what does that mean? Oct19 comment Metric space where the distance between arbitrary points is a constant So not all metric spaces can have something like co-linearity? Oct19 asked Metric space where the distance between arbitrary points is a constant Jul17 comment Can this equation with Modulo be simplified? Apologies, there was a weird (to me) formmating issue (the '<' hid the rest of the line. Jul17 revised Can this equation with Modulo be simplified? added 2 characters in body Jul17 comment Can this equation with Modulo be simplified? @J.M since it is not possible to totally express .1 in binary in finite space, what do you really expect to happen? This is part of the reason the decimal type was created. Jul17 answered Can this equation with Modulo be simplified? Jul17 comment Odds of winning at minesweeper with perfect play @Aryabhata, Thank you. I realize this is stupid, but it "seems" that given a number of mines, and the area, it should be possible to determine the odds of winning with perfect play. To actually do the perfect play is not the way to go about it, but in the aggregate, I was hoping for some clever way. Jun14 comment Show the correctness of a logarithmic inequality I am not sure, but couldn't you just do away with all the logs and have it not affect the inequality? Jun12 comment Golomb sequence You are probably overflowing... Jun5 comment Finding two sides of a triangle Hint: apply the definition of sine and cosine (geometrically, what do they mean?) Jun4 comment Elementary doubt on ratios Looks good to me. Btw, there is no difference between the two answers you gave.
