Well, I expanded the antecedent, leading to 4 cases. Next, I was able to prove 2 of the cases. However, the one im having problem with is the case $(w=x) \land (y \in I \land z \in I) \implies w \cdot y \sim x \cdot z$. If I can solve that them I'm done.

By the way, the last point to prove a congruence is to show $(a \sim b \land c \sim d) \implies a \cdot c \sim b \cdot d$. Is this similar to showing transitivity?
