I have the coordinates of a centre point . I also have an array called the asteroid normal which I assume is the relative rotation of the axis (its 3 numbers between zero and one).

How can I make an object revolve around this object? I haven't been able to find how to do it.

To be more precise , I want to have a movement of 4deg/sec at a 0.3 radius.

What would be an easy formula to use?

I can use centerX , centerY , centerZ and normalX , normalY , normalZ.

I can use vector calculations like substract , cross , etc.

Is this possible?

I am trying to use it right now. quick question : when multiplying a vector by cos(angle) , i need to multiply x,y,z (aka every element in the vector) by it right? Also will the result be a vector? I need to get a position using the center and radius and angle. –  user939165 Nov 5 '11 at 13:57

@J.M. I have run into even more basic problems. I have an the center coordonates and a normal(3 numbers between 0 and 1) which I assume is the relative rotation. So , k is the center coordonates* the normal? Or am I wrong? And v is the position of the object to move right? –  user939165 Nov 5 '11 at 14:10
