Mathematics Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for people studying math at any level and professionals in related fields. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am currently a high school junior living in India and have already taken Differential Calculus and will be finishing Integral Calculus in 2 months time. I am interested in doing some research and finally publishing a paper in a journal, like the Canadian Young Scientist Journal (CYSJ), preferebly Number theory. My main question is how would I go about finding a mentor and a topic to conduct research in?

Perhaps you should ask this on MathsOverflow? –  user88595 Dec 15 '13 at 15:29

@user88595 Have you asked your professors about this? They are the ones who could help you best. –  Bruno Joyal Dec 15 '13 at 15:38

@AhaanRungta I disagree about its suitability for MathOverflow. Perhaps it could fit on Academia. –  Rafflesia arnoldii Aug 22 at 20:53
