Recently, my professor told me that the book Foundations of Algebraic Geometry has been gradually faded from the attention of the algebraic geometers; in view of the simplicity and the beauty it shows to me, and of the fact that it is the first book on the subject that I can understand, I cannot imagine how this happens; so my question is:
How can anyone, for any reason, ignore any one of the books by Weil, while they all are excellent?
If this question is out of place here, I will delete it; I just want to verify, or disprove, the statement by my professor. Best regards and thanks here.
Added I ask this question not to call for any attention of professional researchers; instead, I ask since it is easier for beginners, from my viewpoint; this is why I said it perhaps is out of places here.
