Some areas of mathmatics are basically dormant for legitimate reasons - e. g., the questions have been fully explored, or the concepts have not been shown to be useful after much effort. This question is asking for opinions as to whether or not there are areas of mathematics that are unfashionable for no good reason - perhaps simply because no-one ever explored these areas (thus creating the impression that these areas aren't worth exploring). If you think there are such areas, please identify them.
