So I need this for nutritional information. 3228 Calories. Carbs hold 4 calories/gr. Protein holds 4 calories/gr. Fat holds 9 calories/gr. The ratio is carbohydrates 50%, protein 30%, and fats 20% of the total calorie count (3228). I am so stumped. I need them broken down into how many grams each area (carb/protein/fat) has in that ratio in accordance with the total calories.

Here's a hint to get you started: If carbs are 50% of the total calorie count (3228), how many calories are carbs? If carbs have 4 calories per gram, how many grams is that? –  Rahul Jan 23 '13 at 20:52

If carbohydrates are $50\%$ of $3228$ calories, they supply $3228 \cdot 50\%=1614$ calories. At $4$ calories per gram, this takes $\frac {1614}4=403.5$ grams. The others are similar.
