Can anyone explain to me how Gaussian Markov random fields can be used to represent texture features in an image and whether there is any MATLAB function / toolbox available online to do so?

It'd be great if someone can also explain how illumination invariant features are extracted from the GMRF data.

Reference in pdf format

i just need to know how neighborhood pixels are being used to find the parameter Z given in section II.A of the reference

Do you want us to give you a class on modelling textures using Gaussian Markov random fields ? And also help you find Matlab modules "available online"? And also explain you a paper? Really? Spend some time googling and studying, and when you have concrete individual questions, ask here, one at a time. Voting to close – leonbloy Jan 31 at 12:24
no, i just need to know how neighborhood pixels are being used to find the parameter Z given in section 3.1.5 of the reference – Abhishek Thakur Jan 31 at 12:58

You would have increased your chances of getting an answer immeasurably if you'd included that in the original question. In fact you should include it now because not everyone reads all the comments. – joriki Jan 31 at 13:17
thanks, did that – Abhishek Thakur Jan 31 at 13:30
