I'm getting started with research in combinatorics. I have come across a reference that uses a great deal of abbreviations. I was able to figure most of them out but there are a few that I can find.

Give these matches do any of the remaining acronyms pop out in context?

MaxD - Max depth MaxDR - Dissimilarity Rate Ccl - connoted component labeling Spt - Smallest parts in the partitions AX - Ax-lindermann theorem Pv - probability

The remaining ones are AX, R1, RA, D3, D2, F1, H1, RL, id, dS, Escapes (minesc)

Do any of those pop out as have common meaning? Given these terms, what particular topic or books should I be reading?

Very certain. The ones that I have I was only able to find googling combinations of the terms, but the remaining ones are hopeless in google land. – eigen_enthused Dec 6 '12 at 18:14

Do none of those terms stand out as common terms? The particular reference is my interest. I am just looking to find out if these terms - like the ones they were interspersed with that I was able to find meaning for, have well know meanings. – eigen_enthused Dec 6 '12 at 18:31
My research is partially in graph theory, though I am far from an expert. I have separate taken classes on graph theory and combinatorics at the graduate level (for an average grad school, top 70 or so). I have no idea what any of those mean, even the ones you defined. And, if I ever wrote a book on any subject where I wrote a bunch of things like that I would most definitely define them. Any one should. There's got to be a better reference. Or, at least look in the references of that book to look at some of the references it is using. – Graphth Dec 6 '12 at 22:19
