Is it possible to get a MS in a biostatistics and then apply to a PhD program in Math?

As far as I am aware, PhD admission is contingent on fulfillment of certain criteria; I don't think that having a degree in other area would rule you out, though I could be wrong. – InterestedGuest Mar 5 '11 at 7:00

I feel that this question is a bit off-topic, or at least overbroad. Also, as stated, the answer is undoubtedly yes: you can certainly apply to a PhD program anytime you want. Please put a bit more effort into formulating a more detailed question. – Willie Wong Mar 5 '11 at 10:38
