I am busy studying for statistics and I am busy with the Hypothesis Testing. I want to know when it is appropriate to use the t test, f test, chi-square, z distribution?

This is equivalent to asking for complete lecture notes. Buy a book (or find free lecture notes on the web). – Did Nov 16 '12 at 10:49
@Jonathan: The number of different sorts of situations in which a chi-square test is used is immense. And t tests and F tests also appear in many situations. If you post a question about when t tests are used, I might post an answer giving the ones usually encountered in the sort of course where t tests are first seen. – Michael Hardy Nov 16 '12 at 16:52
