# How to write a mathematical formula for the given statment?

I would like to know how to present the following statement in mathematical form:

A is a object which representing by points, for instance 150 points. B is another object, also present by points. I want to check whether this to be overlap or not based on the point coordinates. If more than 50% of points in A does not matched (overlapped) with the points in B, then I want to remove object B. so how to write logically that “ A covered more than 50% points of no B object”

"the amy object of B?" Unless you explain what "corresponds" means,it is hard to tell. –  Thomas Andrews Nov 1 '12 at 14:36
Welcome to Math.SE. Just curious: Are A and B sets, and if so, sets of what? It would be helpful to us if you would edit your post to clarify what A and B are, and if sets, sets of what; also, it helps us to answer your question if you can provide the context in which this problem occurs. –  amWhy Nov 1 '12 at 14:36
What do you mean "remove object $B$? Assuming that the two things are sets, a way of writing that fewer than 50+% of objects in A are in B is $\frac{|A \cap B|}{|A|} < 0.5$. Here the vertical double bars mean "number of elements" and $\cap$ means "intersection." –  Jonah Sinick Nov 1 '12 at 14:57
sorry I hoped that this is more simple but i am very poor in mathematics. –  sana Nov 1 '12 at 14:58
