Mathematics Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for people studying math at any level and professionals in related fields. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am required to do a 10-15 minutes presentation in a Complex Analysis class on the following idea:

"Discuss convergence rates of power series, and numerical aspects of how to write good algorithms to compute complex powers."

What i have discovered from wikipedia is that the convergence of power series is often linked to the precision of a numerical answer. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radius_of_convergence#Comments_on_rate_of_convergence)

Other than that, i'm pretty much stuck.

May I ask for any good references or resources that may aid me for this short presentation?

Thank you for reading!
