Given sampling data below,

Considering a Simple Random Sampling(SRS without replacement) of size 4, what is the sampling distribution of the estimators for total of y's? t1 and t2 where
i) t1 is the estimate of population total of y using Simple Random Sampling
ii) t2 is the estimate of population total of y using Ratio estimator

I would begin by obtaining sampling distribution of y's,

sampling distribution of yi

followed by their totals,

sampling distribution of totals

how do i obtain the p(ti) for both SRS and Ratio estimators? Thanks for reading through my questions. Looking forward to great advices.

I suspect that the fact that you haven't received any answers yet may be related to the fact that your exposition takes a lot for granted that may seem obvious to you but not to others. I for one had to look up the abbreviation SRS (it's usually a good idea to introduce any abbreviations you use; it can't hurt), and I don't understand what you're referring to by "their totals" and by $t$. Well, you've explained the abbrevation, but I still have no idea what "their totals" is, what $t$ is (you only introduced $t_1$ and $t_2$, not $t$), and how you arrived at the numbers $13$, $15$, $17$, $19$, $20$. –  joriki Oct 12 '12 at 9:04
