Could someone help me understand how to prove the correlation theorem. I've written out what the theorem is and I'm almost done, but there is a difference of a sign.

Jennifer, welcome to math.se! I would suggest you add what you have done so far so your question, or make it clear what in the linked image is your own work. Also, note that math.se happily interprets $\LaTeX$, so if you have the source for that image you can just paste it into your question. – Drew Christianson Sep 24 '12 at 17:09
